Short Description:

With a proven track record within PA/secretarial, administration functions.Able to work well under pressure An excellent communicator who is confident at interacting at all levels. Reliable, committed and enthusiastic

Long Description:

Having re-located to the Nottingham area a little over two years ago I have been working as a Temp PA for recruitment agencies for the last eighteen months in order to familiarise myself with the variety of employers, and the area. Previously I worked in the education sector for 13 years. I am keen to work in other sectors to expand and further develop my knowledge and skills as well as new challenges. My managerial skills have been developed over recent years and I have the ability to manage a portfolio of activities. As can be seen from my CV I have had responsibility for managing a small team together with establishing; designing and implementing procedures which provide good audit trails and ensured effective communication processes were in place and practised. This included establishing, monitoring and managing databases, office procedures. I have excellent interpersonal and organisational skills with a ‘can do’ attitude thus able to make the necessary connections to ‘get things done’ with the ability to prioritise tasks achieving targets and deadlines covering a wide and varied workload and have developed the skills and experience of maintaining effective working relationships, not only at senior levels but also within the organisations and with external organisations and agencies locally, regionally, nationally and internationally. My experience has also involved intelligence gathering and dissemination through various mediums including report preparation. My work has entailed working with partnerships and establishing relationships with local agencies, groups, organisations and industry as well as across disciplines and departments internally. To have successful partnerships entails hard work, commitment enthusiasm and belief as it is not straightforward and can be frustrating but with regular dialogue, monitoring, review and evaluation they can be successful and rewarding. I have taken minutes at various levels from full minutes to action points. Recent events have been the co ordination of re location of 74 staff to new offices and managing the changes needed to their work environments, co ordination of a visit by Syrian guests from hotel bookings to transport to and from airports, refreshments, activities etc. Outside of work I have a wide range of experience in ‘Grass roots’ football I played a key role in the creation of a Girls football league following an edit from the FA to create a small-sided league in the City and County we began with 12 teams and blossomed into a fully fledged league sporting some 50 teams and went from a single central venue to home and away games. As part of this role I undertook the role of General Secretary for the fledgling management committee dealing with all matters of managing the League This role enabled me the opportunity of being elected and having the privilege of serving as the first female on Leicestershire and Rutland County Football Association Council where I was responsible for the development of girls and women’s football in the county This role meant that I also became chair of the Girls and Women’s section. Duties here included contact with other County Associations, organisation of Girls football tournaments, Soccer fun days, boys’ tournaments, attendance at County Youth Matches, overseeing the development of Girls and Women’s football in the city and county. I also work as a safety steward at Leicester Tigers on match days where I ensure the safety of some 1000 spectators working as part of a small team within the larger team of stewards. I am hard working and have a willingness to continually learn and develop. I am used to working in a fast-moving environment and I have the ability to work independently as well as a team member achieving targets and deadlines often within a tight timescale whilst maintaining a high standard. I would welcome the opportunity to contribute to the effective operation of this company.
