Long Description:

In the course of an extensive career I have acquired considerable expertise in writing and editing copy for a range of different purposes including marketing, promotion, presentation, training and the preparation of reports. I have been actively involved with a great variety of customer groups and organisations in both the public and private sectors. These have included publishing, broadcasting, education, the arts, museums, hospitals, prisons, elderly people, ethnic minority groups and those with disabilities. I have worked with organisations at all levels from localised voluntary groups to large government departments and international businesses.

Publicity and promotion, conferences and events have been integral components of my work together with regular collaboration with the press and other media. I have co-ordinated the creation of major touring exhibitions and produced copy and promotional material for them.

My work has regularly involved writing for the press, radio broadcasting, and the production and editing of promotional material such as web sites, CDROMs, posters, brochures, flyers and catalogues as well as anthologies, reports, evaluations and training material.

As a freelance writer working from my home in Ireland, I undertake a portfolio of developmental and promotional work for clients ranging from the simplest of flyers to full-blown web sites.
