Long Description:

Dear Sir,

I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself and apply for a position with your company as a Virtual Assisstant.

I was born in Austin Texas, USA 40 years ago. I began working through my high school work program in the local shoe shop, Shoes N Bags. After one year of part time work I was made assistant manager. The family I worked for supported my education and worked my hours accordingly. After doing two years university in Texas I moved with my mother to California where I started working in a Restaurant chain called The Red Onion as a waitress for some quick and easy tip money before going back to school. I soon became hooked on the adrenaline in restaurants. I worked up through marketing, promoting both restaurant specials from holiday party’s to private functions along side promoting theme nights in the nightclub adjoining us. At 21 I was recruited to another chain, Acapulco Restaurants and made Relief Manager. I stayed with Acapulco Restaurants for 3 years, leaving as Assistant Manager of the Brea California store to move north to the mountains as I was craving some young life again and a bit of sport. I moved to Mammoth Lakes, Ca. Which is a superb ski resort and began my adventure working nights on The Mammoth Mountain Inn’s front desk and snow boarding all day. I was made trainer and Night Supervisor in my second year with MMI. I finally left Mammoth for a summer post in Denali National Park Alaska to work for the Park Rangers. This was a long awaited challenge as I was able to use my spare time to explore the backcountry and animal life in the Park. I was intending on returning to my life in Mammoth at the end of the summer but alas, backpacking across Alaska I met my now Husband who was backpacking across Alaska on temporary leave form his home of Aberdeen, Scotland. We were together that entire summer and in September we went back to Mammoth, packed me up, said goodbye and moved lock stock and barrel to Aberdeen, Scotland.

I lived my first year here with my in-laws in Milltember and after we married in 1997 we moved to where we now live, Marykirk, Aberdeenshire.

When I did become legal to work I took a part time job as a receptionist at a Doctors Surgery. I loved the job and the people although I became pregnant not long after. I continued as long as I could and hated saying goodbye.

When I was pregnant with my first I applied to a Mystery Shop organization, NOPgfk, which I heard about on the morning TV. I have been working as a mystery shopper now since 1998 and enjoy it thoroughly. Clients that I see are banks, retail and restaurants. It’s a super job for me as a homemaker and mother. I now also do Mystery Shopping for six other companies as well.

I am extremely neat and orderly. I am able to handle many tasks at the same time. I have an extremely high expectation of service and would consider myself a perfectionist. I work well under pressure and I enjoy people. I am willing to travel and have my own transport. I do not ever procratanate and enjoy being busy. My hobbies and interest’s include snow boarding, hiking, beach walking, camping, running, theatre, caravanning, cooking, PTA, Marykirk Hall Committee, family and exploring new places.

Duties include assessing customer care, efficiency, and attitude. My clients ask me to act out a scenario prompting their employees to follow a general customer care profile. I am asked to observe cleanliness of the unit, dress and personal care of the employee, banners/posters/advertising in store/ suggestive selling techniques, attitude, timing and conversational skills, along with answering specific job related questions following the employee being prompted by my question. I have to do all this by memory and report my results on line with in 24 hours. I am extremely good at this as my entire working life has been as an employee of an employer wanting 200% customer care and product satisfaction.
