A workaholic with a home office -- that's me! I've worked in the medical, market research, accounting, legal and small business areas, picking up new skills along the way and enhancing those I already possessed.
Deadlines? No problem! I've worked for accountants during tax season, and for real estate attorneys whose work involved complex closings whose details could require an amendment without notice. I've also had to file court documents on a set schedule, so I understand and work well with deadlines. As a type A personality, I do not panic when faced with heavy workloads and tight deadlines; in fact, I seem to accomplish more under these conditions! To quote a famous tenet, Give a busy person a job to do and it will get done. I'm that busy person and I'm waiting for your assignments!
I've worked in the clerical/secretarial/administrative assistant field since 1976, and I have become proficient in the use of Word, Excel, Quickbooks, Microsoft Office Professional, Microsoft Publishing, Paint Shop Pro 5, Outlook, Outlook Express and other software applications. I also own transcription equipment (micro cassette) should the need for this type of transcription arise, and I do take shorthand.
My home office is fully equipped with a PC, color printer, color copier, scanner, CD burner, DSL internet connection, and a fax machine. I do not have a set schedule of hours when I must work, and I believe this flexibility will benefit everyone involved. Overtime is not a problem for me. I firmly believe in working on a project until it is finished, on time and properly completed.
The various fields I have been involved with have all required that I become very detail-oriented in terms of work product, and I take pride in the fact that I have excellent grammar, spelling and writing skills.
Experience is a plus in the clerical/secretarial field, and I have 28 years of experience to offer. Having worked for both accountants and attorneys, the confidentiality of my employer's work products and business dealings is something I am very aware of, and is something which I adhere to with utmost strictness. Your confidential business matters will never be compromised through outsourcing your work to me.
The range of work assignments I am prepared to accept is vast -- anything from simple correspondence to billing, large documents, A/R, making travel arrangements, typing manuscripts....and just about anything else you might need.
