The JKA India is a member of Japan Karate Association / World Federation. It organizes Annual Training camps, Tournaments & Technical Seminars in Shotokan Karate-do for it's members. Founding member of the All India Karate-do Federation.
The Japan Karate Association of India is the National Representative Body of the JKA in India.
It is a member of the JKA W/F and JKA Asia Oceania Federation.
The Chief Instructor for the JKAI is Shihan Sasaki Shoichi 7th Degree Black Belt and member of the JKA Shihan-kai.
Founded 30 years ago by karatekas interested to propogate Shotokan Karate-do of the JKA in the country, the organization is a non profit organization that arranges Training Camps,Technical Seminars and Tournaments on an Annual basis.
It has members in all the states of India.
The JKA India follows the JKA W/F system of training and holds kyu and National Dan gradings for Homologation purposes by the National Federation.
The JKA India is a member of the All India Karate-do Federation which is recognized by the Government of India and all the tournaments of the JKA India are recognized by the AIKF.
By virtue of the recognition of the JKAI by the National Federation, members of the various state bodies of the JKAI are granted membership into the all style body in their respective states and can participate in all the actvities of the Federation.
The JKA India's Chief Instructor Shihan Shoichi Sasaki invites members of the JKA India to Japan for getting advanced training in his own Dojo there.
Many JKAI members have trained in Japan over the years and have learned a great deal from their experiences in Japan.
The JKA India also gets periodicvisits from instructors from the Headquarters of the JKA who take training Camps in India.
