PROFESSIONAL ACHIEVEMENTS
* Started virtual assistant business as sole proprietorship, taking short and long term assignments assisting small business owners with office projects and day-to-day office operations.
* Part of start up team creating a new company offering work from home opportunities for the disabled. Helped develop policies, procedures, did remote interviewing, created reporting documents for tracking productivity and prepared and submitted payroll for all staff. Supervised a team of 13 agents doing clerical functions as support for a well known furniture company’s customer service department. Prepared and conducted training of new agents as they were hired in groups.
* Core member of new business development team establishing a new, home party sales company for Crayola. Did benchmarking to develop policies and practices, set up Consultant Care department, hired and trained representatives, helped to select and implement departmental ordering/warehousing computer system, assisted in event planning and implementation, helped to develop and fulfill monthly sales and recruiting promotions. Took annual sales to $4.2 million within the company’s first full year of existence.
* Served for two years on an inter-company, cross-functional team to develop and implement operations practices supporting a new product line for Day-Timers. Sales grew from $5 million the first year to $40 million the second year.
* Revitalized customized product business, resulting in net sale of obsolete inventory of $250,000.00. Identified reasons for loses of an additional $750,000.00 in revenues and organized a team to revamp marketing. A 1998 recipient of Day-Timer’s Outstanding Teammate Award for contribution to bottom line.
* Served on a team developing and implementing programs to improve employee retention rate at Telerx by 12-18% over a two year period.
* Developed, with selected Telerx program members, product and procedural training for new hires to improve retention rate and job performance.
* Received 3rd place award in 1995 Innovation in Operations Awards from Operations & Fulfillment magazine for development of idea to offer services through phone menu to cut down on call volumes.
* Interviewed, hired and trained a Telerx team of nine call center representatives and one supervisor while managing daily operations.
* Designed and developed all daily, weekly and monthly reporting to give feedback concerning progress in meeting goals.
* Established a reward system for outstanding performance and coached representatives as needed for improvement.
* Assessed existing infrastructure and developed job descriptions.
* Monitored call and data entry quality of representatives, providing regular feedback sessions and annual reviews to increase employee effectiveness and job satisfaction.
