Carole-Anne Melia (the founder and director of the company) has had over 25 years of experience in the business world. First of all working as a professional temp for a number of years in London, then working for Trust House Forte as a Telephonist and rising to Manageress within a couple of years responsible not only for a 150 room Motel, but also a full service station including a garage, shop and two restaurants.

After leaving London and moving to York to start a family, Carole-Anne trained and received qualifications as a Legal Secretary.

Following this Carole-Anne ran her own Ancestral Research Company working for clients from all over the world. Apart from private clients she also worked for the BBC for their 'Who Do You Think You Are?' Roadshow and SKY TV's 'So You Think Your Royal!' Series. Carole-Anne closed her Ancestral Company down in order to building Melia Virtual Assistant up.
