I have worked both as a Secretary and an Editorial Assistant for a medical journal over 25 years.

I have worked in the NHS and for the British Medical Journal and have experience in medical transcription, and editing and proofreading of medical papers.

My work as a Medical Secretary was primarily in Radiology and Obstetrics and Gynaecology. I have also worked in Paediatrics, Endocrinology, General Medicine, Cardiology, Elderley Care and Orthopaedics. I have worked in both the NHS and have done private transcription.

At the British Medical Journal, I was Editorial Assistant for three years for the British Heart Journal. I have also assisted with other specialist journals, such as Archives for Diseases in Childhood, GUT and Quality in Health Care.

I am a qualified bookkeeper.

I am able to produce speedy, accurate work and experienced at keeping deadlines.
